    A PARTIAL ACQUISITION TECHNIQUE OF SAR SYSTEM USING COMPRESSIVE SAMPLING METHOD

    In line with the development of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) technology, there is a serious problem when the SAR signal is acquired using high rate analog digital converter (ADC), that require large volumes data storage. The other problem on compressive sensing method,which frequently occurs, is a large measurement matrix that may cause intensive calculation. In this paper, a new approach was proposed, particularly on the partial acquisition technique of SAR system using compressive sampling method in both the azimuth and range direction. The main objectives of the study are to reduce the radar raw data by decreasing the sampling rate of ADC and to reduce the computational load by decreasing the dimension of the measurement matrix. The simulation results found that the reconstruction of SAR image using partial acquisition model has better resolution compared to the conventional method (Range Doppler Algorithm/RDA). On a target of a ship, that represents a low-level sparsity, a good reconstruction image could be achieved from a fewer number measurement. The study concludes that the method may speed up the computation time by a factor 4.49 times faster than with a full acquisition matrix

    The object of this research is a Graphic Novel entitled “Superman: Red Son” by Mark Millar. The novel is a story about a Superman in a different universe who lived amongst the society of communist and was raised by communist Ideology, involving issues of social nomenclature. The basis of this research resides in Marxism Theory and Graphic Novel. This research aims to determine the message conveyed behind the book as either critique or support towards the ideas of Communism. This research applied qualitative descriptive method and Marxist Literary Criticism as its Literary Approach. The Research Result pointed out that the book significantly showcased how far the success of Communism could go, especially with a Superhuman leader by their side. Simultaneously, the results also indicated that this work also represents critique upon Communism failures, specifically over the downfall of a utopian state the Super-powered leader had worked so hard for. This research revealed how Marxism could ideologically endure and survive, despite being overpowered by relentless Americans. It also shows that despite having a Superhuman leader, several problems became the factor of Communism failure in both the book and in reality remains unaverted

    DENGUE FEVER WITH WARNING SIGN (CASE REPORT)

    Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a disease infection caused by the dengue virus that enters the circulatory system through the bite of a vector, namely the Aedes aegypti, characterized by plasma leakage. Dengue virus infects endothelium, bone marrow, and Kupffer cells in the liver so that activates the immune system which occurs excessively. Thrombocytopenia occurs due to bone marrow suppression, destruction, and shortening of the life of platelets which interfere with the coagulation system, causing bleeding. We describe a case of a 42-year-old man admitted to the intensive care unit who was diagnosed with dengue fever with a warning sign. In this case, besides complaint of fever, there is also the existence of pain in the pit of the heart, and gums bleeding. During the monitoring process in the room, there are other symptoms such as rash on the skin, nausea, vomiting, persistent heartburn, the difficulty for sleep, also minimal ascites. On laboratory result, hematocrit starts increasing and accompanied with the drop of platelets 50000/mm3 with Ht 49.8%, so that patient is transferred to ICU for monitoring intensively and prevent entering severe dengue. This patient has platelets decrease until reaches 13,000/mm3 and hematocrit reached 48.1% shows the weight clinical that will be experienced patient. The patient who experiences ascites that becomes a predictor will occurrence of DSS so that has a prognosis of dubia. The prognosis for dengue without or with warning signs is generally good

    ANALYSIS OF SAR MAIN PARAMETERS FOR SAR SENSOR DESIGN ON LSA

    LAPAN plans to conduct a flight test of LSA (LAPAN Surveillance Aircraft). LSA STEMME-S15 is capable of carrying sensor payloads up to 160 kg that are mounted on both sides of the wings with altitude between 400-2000 m. LSA can be designed to perform imaging by using optical sensors and SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar). Compared to imaging using optical sensors, SAR sensor has advantages such as it can operate all day and night, able to penetrate clouds, and able to see objects from side looking, while optical sensors generally see the object perpendicular to the ground. Therefore the use of SAR imaging technology can complement optical imaging technology. To design SAR system imagers on LSA, it is necessary to simulate the primary parameters SAR i.e. altitude and look angle of sensor, speed of LSA, SAR frequency and signals power shot to object to calculate the resolution of azimuth and ground range values that can be obtained. This SAR parameters simulation used MATLAB which have been designed with two approaches; the first approach where the SAR sensor is ideal and in which all the fundamental parameters (such as polarization, frequency, etc.) are used to generate the desired sensitivity and resolution of azimuth and ground range, and the second approach is where SAR sensor is designed in a limited antenna size (constraint case), with the assumption that the dimensions of the antenna and the average available power are fixed. The data used in this simulation is a pseudo-data obtained from LSA technical spesification and SAR sensor. The simulation results with the first approach shows that if LSA is flying at an altitude of 1000 m, with speed of 36.11 m/s, and SAR frequency of 5.3 GHz, then to get resolution of azimuth, slant range and ground range of 1 m, 1.2 m and 3 m, it is necessary to design the length and width of SAR antenna at 2 m and 13.5 cm, with look angle of 23.5 degrees. While the result of second approach simulation is that if LSA is flying on the same altitude and speed, on the same look angle and SAR frequency, with a particular design of antenna length and width of 2 m and 13.5 cm, then azimuth, slant range and ground range resolution of 1 m, 1.87 and 4.79 m will be obtained. Form both simulations, it can be concluded that limited SAR system on LSA, especially on the technical aspects of mounting and space as in the simulation with the second approach, will produce slightly lower slant range and ground range resolution when compared with SAR system in the first simulation. This shows that space limitation on LSA will affect decrease the value of spatial ground range resolution. The simulation results are expected to be inputs on designing SAR imaging system on LSA

    The production process is one of the several main activities in industries. The process followed by quality control to achieve expected final products. Products' conformities to design specification can be achieved through direct measurement. However, not all measurements can be done directly while the process is running. Inconformities to product's design specification could result in unfunctional or rejected products. This will render producers into losing their profits. Technology plays a major role in simplifying products' measurement processes. Advancement in technology made it possible to automate measurement processes and will also make it possible to do during the production process in achieving expected quality control as early as possible. The quality control yield measurements in products'lengths, widths and depths/ heights which will control products' dimension and generate quality control chart. The proposed prototype will allow measurements of product dimension and data acquisition directly during the process without disrupting on going processes.

    Abstract Social drinkers have a goal, limits, and considerations in the act of consuming alcoholic beverages. Therefore, this study seeks to identify the rationality of social drinkers. This is one of the efforts to educate the public to be wise in utilizing alcoholic beverages which actually has many negative impacts from various aspects. In this study, the researcher wanted to examine more deeply about motives, awareness, boundaries, and considerations as a practice of rational actions carried out by social drinkers. Giddens in structuration theory explains that an individual is an agent who has knowledge (knowledgeable agent) with the ability to understand the actions taken. Action is also an activity that has the ability to introspect and be introspective in each individual which becomes self-control over the body of an actor. Based on the findings of the data, it can be concluded that assertiveness, discipline, awareness, responsibility, and analytical skills are needed as a social drinker to be able to use alcoholic beverages with minimum consequences. This study uses a phenomenological method with a qualitative approach. By carrying out Giddens' structuration theory and Webber's rational action. Abstrak Social drinker memiliki suatu tujuan, batasan, dan pertimbangan dalam tindakan mengkonsumsi minuman beralkohol. oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini berupaya untuk menidentifikasi tindakan rasionalitas social drinker. Hal tersebut sebagai salah satu upaya untuk mengedukasi masyarakat untuk bijak dalam memanfaatkan minuman beralkohol yang sejatinya memiliki banyak dampak negatif dari berbagai aspek. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti ingin mengkaji lebih dalam tentang motif, kesadaran, batasan, dan pertimbangan sebagai praktik dari tindakan rasional yang dilakukan oleh social drinker. Giddens pada teori strukturasi menjelaskan bahwa seorang individu ialah sosok agen yang memiliki pengetahuan (knowledgeable agent) dengan kemampuan untuk memahami tindakan yang dilakukan. Juga Tindakan adalah sebuah kegiatan yang terdapat aliran kemampuan untuk introspeksi dan mawas diri dalam masing-masing individu yang menjadi pengendalian diri atas tubuh dari seorang aktor. Berdasarkan hasil temuan data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa diperlukan kemampuan ketegasan, disiplin, kesadaran, tanggung jawab, dan kemampuan menganalisa sebagai social drinker untuk mampu memanfaatkan minuman beralkohol dengan konsekuensi minimum.     ANALISIS PERILAKU KEKAKUAN KOLOM BAJA HOLLOW DIISI MORTAR FAS 0,4 DENGAN VARIASI PANJANG ELEMEN DAN UKURAN PROFIL

    AbstrakIndonesia merupakan negara dengan 17.504 pulau-pulau. Dalam sektor konstruksi dibutuhkan material-material yang ringan dengan volume yang lebih kecil untuk menjangkau daerah-daerah pelosok, sehingga memudahkan sistem distribusi. Baja hollow menjadi salah satu elemen yang digunakan pada komponen struktural seperti kolom, balok, dan rangka kuda-kuda, dimana bobot yang lebih ringan serta pemasangan yang lebih mudah menjadikan baja hollow sebagai pilihan elemen pengganti yang sesuai dalam dunia konstruksi. Namun profil baja hollow yang memiliki rongga pada bagian tengah menjadikan baja hollow rentan terhadap tekuk. Upaya peningkatan kapasitas yang dapat dilakukan salah satunya dengan cara mengisi kekosongan profil baja hollow dengan mortar. Dalam penelitian ini, elemen yang digunakan yaitu baja hollow dengan variasi dimensi profil 30/60 mm, 40/80 mm, dan 50/100nmm serta ketebalan profil 1 mm yang diaplikasikan sebagai kolom dengan variasi panjang elemen 20 cm, 40 cm, dan 80 cm pada kondisi tumpuan jepit-bebas. Baja hollow tersebut diisi oleh mortar dengan spesifikasi bahan semen Portland tipe I, agregat halus, air, dan bahan aditif viscocrete-10 dengan FAS 0,4. Pengujian benda uji dilakukan dengan dua kondisi yang berbeda. Beberapa benda uji dibebani secara aksial tekan untuk mengetahui nilai kapasitas aksialnya, dan beberapa benda uji lainnya dibebani secara lateral untuk mengetahui kapasitas tahanan momen dan kekakuannya. Untuk menentukan mutu mortar beton yang direncanakan, digunakan benda uji berbentuk kubus dengan dimensi 50x50x50nmm yang diuji pada 28 hari umur beton. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perilaku terhadap kapasitas dan kekakuan kolom baja hollow diisi mortar. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh hasil pengujian pembebanan kolom terhadap beban aksial dan beban lateral. Untuk beban aksial, beban maksimum terbesar terdapat pada profil 50/100 untuk setiap panjang elemen (20 cm, 40 cm, dan 80 cm). Besar beban maksimum setiap panjang elemen secara berurutan adalah 28 tonf, 24,63 tonf, dan 24,43 tonf dan nilai displacement masing-masing adalah 0,15 mm, 4,25 mm, dan 7,12 mm. Sedangkan untuk pembebanan lateral, diperoleh beban maksimum yang mampu dipikul oleh profil 30/60, 40/80, dan 50/100 dengan panjang elemen 800 mm berturut-turut adalah 0,22 tonf, 0,34 tonf, dan 0,44 tonf. Adapun nilai lendutannya secara berurutan adalah 45,29 mm, 27,33 mm, dan 19,62 mm. Nilai kapasitas tahanan momen pada kondisi batas elastis dari profil 30/60, 40/80, dan 50/100 berturut-turut adalah 0,957nkNm, 2,072 kNm, dan 2,790 kNm. Sedangkan nilai kekakuan berturut-turut adalah 142,338nN/mm, 148,882 N/mm, dan 348,727 N/mm. Kata kunci: baja hollow, komposit, kolom, kekakuan, perilaku kolo

    The election of village heads (Pilkades) is the representation of democracy at the village level. Nevertheless, the supervision mechanism by the district/city level election committee (PPK) becomes problematic when the authority also coincides with the authority to operate. It is important to know the legal construction regarding the supervision of village head elections and the model of village head election supervision in the future. These will be analyzed normatively using a statutory approach, case approach, and concept approach. The results of this study show that Pilkades is an important process to actualize the Constitutional rights of communities, democracy and village autonomy. However, the regulations governing the pilkades are not in line with democratic values and the principle of free and fair election because of the unification of the authority to operate and supervise simultaneously at the Village Head Election Committee formed by the regional Head. Therefore, improvements to the supervision of the Pilkades in the future can be carried out with three models, namely: involving district/city Bawaslu, forming district/city Pilakdes Supervisors, direct supervision by district/city Bawaslu

    The Effectiveness of Gymbastech Learning Media on The Results of Basic Gymnastics Skills

    Based on research that was carried out in the previous year regarding the development of Android application-based GYMBASTECH (Gymnastics Basic Techniques) learning media, this study aims to test the effectiveness of GYMBASTECH learning media in the learning process of gymnastics on the results of basic gymnastic skills. This study uses the True Experimental Design research method, while this study uses a posttest-only control design. The population in this study were students majoring in physical education class of 2022. The sampling technique in this study used simple random sampling. The control class consisted of 44 people using conventional learning, and the experimental class consisted of 44 people using the GYMBASTECH learning media. The data collection technique is by conducting a basic exercise skill test according to the assessment rubric in the semester learning plan (RPS). The data analysis technique in this study was the Mann-Whitney test using the SPSS 23.0 program. The results of this study indicate the value of Asymps. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.032 is smaller than the probability value of 0.05. So thus it can be concluded that the GYMBASTECH learning media is effective for the results of basic gymnastic skills

    Sampah yang dihasilkan oleh masyarakat di kota Bandung berbanding lurus dengan banyaknya jumlah penduduk. Sebagai contoh pada tahun 2014 saja ada sebanyak 3.526.576 jiwa, dengan penduduk sebanyak itu maka sampah yang dihasilkan juga sudah pasti banyak. Saat ini penanggulangan sampah di trotoar masih dilakukan oleh petugas kebersihan secara manual dengan memakai sapu lidi. Maka dari itu, penulis beserta tim merancang kendaraan vacuum cleaner untuk membersihkan trotoar. Vacuum cleaner merupakan alat yang digunakan untuk membersihkan sampah di trotoar. Bukan hanya sampah saja yang terhisap tetapi debu, kerikil, dan kotoran – kotoran lain juga ikut tebawa sehingga tidak akan meninggalkan sisa ataupun membuat debu berpindah tempat yang dikarenakan proses menyapu. Jika proses pembersihan trotoar dilakukan oleh petugas kebersihan secara manual hanya dapat mencapai jarak tertentu yang relatif sedikit, dengan dirancangnya kendaraan vacuum cleaner ini diharapkan jangkauan dari proses pembersihan trotoar ini bisa lebih meluas dan juga lebih bersih, bahkan tidak akan meninggalkan debu ataupun kotoran lain
